Senior Project Manager* (m/w/d) – ACS

GE Vernova invites you to shape the future of energy. In this role you will lead complex turnkey projects and electro‑packages for high‑voltage switchgear and substations within the AC Substations area. You will manage interdisciplinary teams, ensure highest quality standards, optimize processes, and maximize project success.

Responsibilities

• Project control and development of unified functional specifications and global processes for implementation.
• Lead activities to capture and fulfill customer expectations.
• Operational planning, execution and focusing on professional tasks within a technical discipline.
• Independent work within established guidelines and review of end results.
• Manage large and complex turnkey EPC projects as general contractor or within a consortium for electrical substations up to 420 kV.
• Oversee project, direct or indirectly lead teams and manage project resources.
• Contribute to strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within the responsibility area.
• Make decisions and constructively solve medium‑to‑large problems in operations, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
• Create the project management plan and manage scope, risks, opportunities, and client requirements.
• Control project margin, maximize profit and cashflow at every phase.
• Communicate with stakeholders, customers and report to management.
• Ensure correct know‑how and competence in the team and adhere to quality procedures.
• Demonstrate EHS leadership.

Qualifications

• Significant, long‑term experience in project management and turnkey project management, preferably with high‑voltage substations.
• Certification by PMI or equivalent.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering with focus on Electrical Engineering, or comparable.
• Fluent in German and very good in English.
• Experience leading interdisciplinary teams with multiple interfaces and high local project involvement.
• Experience building team culture and developing team building.
• Management of projects with high financial, technical and commercial risk.
• Experience with P&L goals.
• Willingness for short‑ or medium‑term assignments at various sites and worldwide travel.
