Software Engineer for hardware-related Developments (f/m/d)

We are looking for an engineer in our Berlin site to support robotics and engineering for software, process and machine development for manufacturing applications.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of software for manufacturing devices.
• Development of quality‑check and measurement devices, often using image processing.
• Testing, commissioning, and initial setup of manufacturing devices at the production plant.
• Documentation of development and test results according to quality regulations.
• Support of the production department for troubleshooting and fault recovery.
• Close cooperation with hardware departments OptoMech and Electronic in developing complex manufacturing devices.
• Travel to other sites may be required to support production, set up new production devices or implement new systems.

Education and Experience

• University degree in the field of automation, robotics, or computer science.
• Professional experience with comparable tasks is appreciated.

Skills

• Good knowledge of object‑oriented software development.
• Knowledge of automation, robotics applications and industrial interfaces is appreciated.
• Knowledge of image‑processing application development is appreciated.
• Problem‑solving, tactical thinking and time‑management skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new topics and tasks.
• Proficiency in German and English technical language.
