To strengthen our team based in Trier/Germany, we are looking for a Sr. Clerk Sample Room (m/f/d) to support the Global Leaf Quality Sample Room Manager in preparing tobacco and cigarette samples for evaluation and chemical analysis.

Your tasks:

• Prepare tobacco samples for analysis and coordinate timely dispatch to laboratories
• Ensure accurate labeling and storage of incoming and prepared samples
• Support cross-functional sample dispatch initiatives and maintain traceable records
• Assist in preparing samples for leaf evaluation, including cut-filler and test cigarettes, as per direction from GSC Leaf Quality Assurance
• Maintain sample integrity and consistency throughout the preparation process
• Document all incoming and dispatched samples in line with Tax and Customs regulations
• Implement infestation control measures and maintain sample room cleanliness per 5S principles
• Operate sample room equipment safely and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Your profile:

• Relevant educational background: Successfully completed commercial education; further education in a commercial/business-related field advantageous
• Practical experience: First professional experience in the planning and organization of goods, especially with a focus on quality
• Valuable knowledge: Knowledge of inventory management, customs and tax regulations, and familiarity with tobacco industry standards

• Language skills: Very good command of English; German language is an asset
• Special strengths: proficiency in Microsoft Word and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Suitable personality: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Practiced working time model: flextime & on-site work
