Working Student Software Engineer for 3D Data (m/f/d)

This is a part-time hybrid position for a 3D Software Engineer (m/f/d) based in Düsseldorf or Aachen, with flexible working hours and the option to work from home. It is mandatory to be enrolled at University. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining state-of-the-art algorithms for 3D data processing. Join our innovative team to research and code state-of-the-art reconstruction algorithms for point clouds, CAD data, and 2D images while pursuing your engineering or science degree.

• Develop, implement, and optimize algorithms to process 3D data from various input sources such as point clouds, CAD data or 2D images
• Research and analysis of SOTA algorithms for 3D data reconstruction
• Point cloud processing, computer vision and volumetric modeling through innovative artificial intelligence approaches

• Expertise in Python
• Fundamental understanding of mathematical principals in linear algebra, geometry and numerical optimization
• Teamwork: You enjoy working in a young, motivated team and are interested in making an active contribution
• Curiosity about new topics and tools and a willingness to learn more about them
• Fluent in English
• Enrolled in a technical or scientific study program

• Coding experience on 3D data
• Previous experience in collaborative software development
• Coding skills in other languages such as C++ or Rust
