Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop business relationships and acquire new business opportunities within the expanding fiber and sensing market in Germany, and cover and develop existing major accounts in the datacom and wireless markets.
  • Implement a sales strategy for fiber, Ethernet, wireless and sensing system business, focusing on local service and energy providers, key system integrators, and their ecosystem.
  • Understand the customers’ business pains, especially on critical infrastructure topics, and define and orchestrate sales tactics in close relationship with the pre‑sales team, partners, and the partner ecosystem.
  • Work closely with the account teams, partners, and customers to drive the strategy and delivery of new solutions, products and services.
  • Use internal tools and provide accurate and timely sales forecasts.
  • Anticipate market changes, customer needs, and requirements that could impact overall revenue targets.
  • Possess an empathic personality with the ability to develop strong relationships with customers across engineering and senior management levels.
  • Previous project management experience and good presentation skills are a clear advantage.

Pre‑Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Telecom Engineering / Information Technology and a minimum of five years’ industry experience.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in fiber optics.
  • Deep knowledge of datacom.
  • Network experience in the fiber sensing market is welcome.
  • Affinity for IT topics and enthusiasm to lead customers toward automation.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics).
  • Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and be effective in high‑pressure environments.
  • Fluency and strong communication skills in German and English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
