Design Desk Engineer (MSP Sales Engr.)

We’re looking for a Design Desk Engineer (DDE) who is equal parts technician, consultant, and strategist. If you love translating complex technical needs into actionable IT project designs that drive real business results, this is the role for you

Hourly Rate: The equivalent of US$ 13.7 per hour in the applicant’s local currency
Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40h per week.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM EST
Work Arrangement: Work from home
Contract: Independent Contractor
Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:
As a DDE, you will play a pivotal role in the Business Alignment team, collaborating closely with Account Managers to:

• Craft tailored IT proposals and work plans that align client needs with MSP best practices
• Source hardware, software, and services while optimizing margins and pricing
• Leverage tools like QuoteWerks and centralized documentation to build rock-solid solutions
• Join KT meetings, internal huddles, and project reviews to ensure transparency and alignment
• Track KPIs, contribute to standards development, and continuously level up your technical skills

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or tech school training plus relevant industry certifications
• A proven track record of technical success in an MSP or IT services environment
• Mastery of process-driven project planning and ticket management
• Strong communication skills with a client-first mindset
• A love for tech, a sharp eye for detail, and a drive to continually improve
