Product Engineer (Full-Stack Developer)Location: Essen, Dussledorf or Mülheim an der Ruhr - 2 days onsite Employment Type: Full-Time (Business-to-Employee) We are seeking a hands-on Product Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering, product development, and user experience. In this role, you will take ownership of building internal applications that power media and content management workflows. You will work directly with internal stakeholders and end users to understand their challenges, translate business needs into technical solutions, and deliver high-quality, cloud-native applications on AWS.This position is ideal for a full-stack developer who enjoys autonomy, can operate across the full product lifecycle, and is comfortable facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, and iterating quickly to deliver meaningful business impact. Key ResponsibilitiesProduct & Business CollaborationPartner closely with internal teams to understand business domains, user needs, and workflow challenges.Lead and facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and technical consultations with stakeholders.Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and product improvements. Application & Product DevelopmentDesign, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications primarily using Node.js and TypeScript.Build user-facing features and internal tools that streamline media, broadcasting, and content management workflows.Own the end-to-end application lifecycle — architecture, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and optimization. Technical LeadershipEstablish development standards, best practices, and scalable patterns across projects.Collaborate cross-functionally with product teams, designers, and engineering peers.Provide guidance on AWS architecture and cloud application design Must-HavesStrong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS services.Demonstrated ability to architect and build cloud-native applications with scalable, maintainable code.A product-oriented mindset — comfortable engaging with end users, gathering feedback, and iterating quickly.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in fast-paced, evolving environments.Proven experience working across the full application lifecycle (design → development → deployment → optimization).German C1 and English C1 Nice-to-HavesFamiliarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts and techniques.Experience in media, broadcasting, or digital content management domains.Demonstrated achievements such as improved system performance, enhanced usability, or faster delivery timelines.
