Job Description

The Product Go‑to‑Market Manager, Germany supports the Go‑to‑Market Lead in bringing new Visa products and solutions to market, ensuring Visa remains a leader in driving growth of payment solutions. The role includes product sales planning and monitoring, collaborating with Account Executives on account planning and specific sales opportunities.

Additionally, the position tailors compelling consumer product propositions to client needs, focusing on priority product segments and using subject‑matter expertise and thought leadership to help account executives win new business.

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive professional with a strong understanding of sales performance monitoring and consultative client engagement. You will apply product and project management expertise, along with awareness of consumer payment trends, to create innovative payment solutions that drive customer engagement with Visa products. Success depends on developing and delivering compelling presentations tailored to both internal and external stakeholders.

The right candidate must possess technical and functional understanding of payment systems, core product, and digital payment solutions, including familiarity with technologies and systems used in payments, mobile and e‑commerce (3D Secure, authentication, NFC, tokenization, system interconnection methods such as APIs and SDKs). The candidate can define and articulate market product requirements, champion changes to align client needs with Visa’s growth objectives, and influence adoption of solutions in the German market.

Location: Frankfurt. The role may require occasional domestic travel and international travel.

Work Environment: This is a hybrid position; days in the office will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Tailor Visa product and solutions to client needs, including developing compelling presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the product sales planning process, identifying opportunities for value creation and sales of Visa products based on client challenges and goals.
  • Partner with the Sales team to develop and execute account strategies, objectives, and plans to increase revenue and market share.
  • Understand the German market environment and provide inputs into country operational planning and account plans.
  • Track competition activity and ensure Visa’s products meet all relevant stakeholder payment needs.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for Visa capabilities through a deep understanding of customer segment business needs, leveraging Visa solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Work hand‑in‑hand with colleagues from other functional areas.
  • Foster productive relationships at all levels with clients and the Visa organization.
  • Contribute to win strategy for RFPs.
  • Build awareness of Visa’s innovative and new solutions approach among clients during cross‑product meetings.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of work experience with an advanced degree (Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 0 years with a PhD.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 6+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree, or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD. At least 3 years of experience, preferably in cards and banking industry. Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong understanding of consumer debit and credit products and affluent segment needs.
  • Proven experience with product topics, sales support, project management, card operations, and translating client needs into product and solution requirements.
  • Excellent ability to craft and deliver compelling, visually engaging presentations that communicate complex ideas to internal stakeholders and external audiences.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to use quantitative insights to support data‑informed decision making. Understanding of payment technologies related to eCommerce, Tokenization, EMV, NFC, etc.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally in a matrixed organization and dynamic environment.
  • Energy and positive response when tackling challenging problems, viewing complicated tasks as engaging or motivating, and being positive under pressure.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Fluent in written and spoken English and German.
