GERSTEL GmbH & Co. KG is an internationally active, medium-sized, family-owned technology company. With around 250 employees, we develop, produce, and market high-quality automated analysis systems for instrumental chemical analysis. We are expanding and, to strengthen our team in the Research and Development department and as part of long-term succession planning at the company's headquarters in Mülheim an der Ruhr, we are looking to fill the following position as soon as possible:

Senior Software Project Manager – Cybersecurity Lead

Your Responsibilities

• Leading internal & external software teams in the planning and execution of SW development projects and third‑party SW integrations.
• Overseeing and leading cybersecurity initiatives and develop strategies to prevent breaches and ensure security policies are followed.

Your Qualifications

• BS degree with 10+ years of work experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in software development, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects and leading cross‑functional teams.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Stage Gate etc.).
• Project management professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g. firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM).
• Excellent communication, leadership, multitasking and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with a willingness to support various facets of the business.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
