Team Lead (Electronics, Software and Hardware)

About The Role

Join a dynamic engineering team as Team Lead – Electronics, Software & Hardware, driving the evolution of lab testing and electronics development. This role offers the opportunity to build and scale embedded hardware and software capabilities, working hands-on in testing, validation, and system integration to support innovative industrial products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead electronics, software, and hardware capabilities within the testing division
• Implement agile and model-based development methods in electronics processes
• Collaborate with test engineers on system design verification and validation
• Interpret key system requirements (EMC, performance, safety) and integrate into product design
• Optimize designs based on simulations and real-world testing
• Produce technical documentation, specifications, test plans, and tuning procedures
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and customer-facing engagement
• Drive roadmap discussions and represent engineering in stakeholder alignment
• Estimate and track task progress across development phases
• Provide technical leadership on embedded systems integration and debugging
• Support customer system development and act as a key contact for external stakeholders

Requirements

Ideally from an Industrial Automation & Machinery, Aerospace & Defense, Medical, Semi-Conductor or Robotics & Mechatronics background.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Communications Engineering, or similar
5+ years of experience in electronics development for series production
Strong expertise in component selection, schematic design, layout, and embedded systems
Working knowledge of C programming and real-time operating systems
Proficiency with communication protocols (I²C, SPI, UART) and debugging hardware/firmware
Familiarity with DSP/μC platforms and electronic schematics
Maker mindset with a hands-on, experimental approach to problem-solving
Fluent in German and English; strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Skilled in Microsoft Office and technical documentation
Valid driver’s license
