Interdisciplinary, international and digital - this will be the conceptual core of the University of Technology Nuremberg (UTN). A new, urban campus university is currently being built on an area of around 37 hectares in Nuremberg on Brunecker Straße. As a newly founded university, UTN offers the opportunity to rethink university from the ground up. The plan is to create a university that links engineering sciences with other subject areas in society. For this reason, UTN offers and combines engineering or technical sciences as well as humanities, natural and social sciences. In addition to this interdisciplinary approach, the university focuses on English-language teaching, digital forms of teaching and learning, and forward-looking research topics. In the medium term, the campus university in Nuremberg's new Lichtenreuth district will offer development and learning space for up to 6,000 students - on a campus that combines learning, teaching and living.
