A400M Missile Warner Technical Responsible (d/f/m)

Join Airbus Defence and Space as the A400M Missile Warner Technical Responsible (d/f/m) at our site in Manching. This role involves overseeing the definition, development, and integration of the Dual IR Missile Warner System for the A400M aircraft.

The A400M "Atlas" is a state-of-the-art, proven, and certified airlifter designed to meet the current and future needs of armed forces. It combines strategic load-carrying capability with tactical delivery, including into unprepared airstrips, and can serve as a frontline tanker. As Missile Warner Technical Responsible, you will serve as both a technical project manager for the Dual IR Missile Warner and an EW systems engineer. The role can also be adapted for reduced hours and scope.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities :

Technical Project Management:

• Gather customer requirements, develop solutions, and produce specs
• Plan engineering activities and define project artifacts
• Create work packages, estimate resources, and lead technical reviews
• Develop engineering plans, monitor progress, and manage engineering changes
• Manage Tier-3 suppliers and plan resource allocation
• Oversee certification and qualification processes

Systems Engineering:

• Analyze and define requirements, develop system architecture
• Perform trade-off and impact analyses, define interfaces
• Manage stakeholders and conduct milestone reviews

Qualifications:

• Engineering degree in telecommunications, electronics, or related field
• Experience in systems engineering and electronic warfare systems
• Knowledge in equipment development and supplier management
• Familiarity with neuronal networks is a plus
• Strong problem-solving, customer focus, and ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of A400M, DO-178, DO-254, DO-160, and DPA-ABDs processes is preferred
• English negotiation skills; German skills are a plus
