Airbus Defence and Space is seeking an A400M Missile Warner Technical Responsible (d/f/m) for our current and future projects involving the definition, development, and integration of the Dual IR Missile Warner System for the A400M in Manching.

The A400M "Atlas" is the most advanced, proven, and certified airlifter available, integrating state-of-the-art technologies to meet armed forces' needs. It combines strategic load-carrying capabilities with tactical delivery, including operations from small, unprepared airstrips, and can serve as a frontline tanker. It is often described as doing the work of three aircraft.

As Missile Warner Technical Responsible, you will serve as both a technical project manager for the Dual IR Missile Warner and an Electronic Warfare (EW) systems engineer. This role can also be adapted for reduced weekly hours with an adjusted scope of tasks.

Responsibilities:

Technical Project Management:

• Capture customer requirements, develop solutions, and produce technical specifications
• Plan engineering activities and define project management artifacts (PBS, WBS)
• Create work package descriptions and estimate resources
• Coordinate and perform technical reviews
• Develop engineering plans and monitor progress
• Lead engineering change management and technical issue resolution
• Manage Tier-3 suppliers technically
• Plan and monitor certification, qualification, and acceptance of EW solutions
• Implement agile and lean engineering practices

Systems Engineering:

• Analyze and define requirements (including DOORS), develop system architecture
• Perform trade-off analyses and impact assessments of design changes
• Define interfaces and acceptance criteria
• Identify stakeholders and manage their requirements
• Conduct technical milestone reviews

Qualifications:

• Engineering degree in telecommunications, electronics, or equivalent
• Broad experience in systems engineering and electronic warfare systems
• Experience with electro-optics equipment development or supplier management
• Knowledge of neuronal networks is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and customer focus skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Preferred: A400M experience, DO-178, DO-254, DO-160 knowledge, and familiarity with DPA-ABDs processes
• Negotiation-level English skills; German skills preferred
