We’re seeking an Account Director – Germany to own and grow a portfolio of strategic clients, helping them navigate complex commercialization, medical, and digital transformation challenges. You’ll serve as a trusted partner for clients, lead cross-functional delivery teams, and drive measurable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of mid-to-large life sciences clients in Germany, serving as their strategic partner and primary point of contact.
  • Develop and execute account growth plans to meet retention and revenue goals.
  • Collaborate closely with internal experts in medical, commercial, and digital domains to deliver high-impact client solutions.
  • Lead proposals, contract renewals, and negotiations with confidence and commercial insight.
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and client expectations are consistently met.
  • Identify new opportunities across existing accounts through cross-selling and solution expansion.
  • Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management to senior leadership.
  • Stay informed about German and EU life sciences trends, healthcare policy, and client market dynamics.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in account management, client services, or business development within life sciences, healthcare, consulting, or related sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex client accounts and deliver commercial results.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Commercially astute, analytical, and comfortable working in matrix environments.
  • Ability to travel within Germany and Europe as required.
  • Based in, or willing to relocate to, Hamburg (or within reasonable distance).

Preferred Background

  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical or biotech clients in commercialization, medical affairs, or digital transformation.
  • Knowledge of EU or German healthcare systems, regulatory environment, and market access challenges.
  • Understanding of how technology and data analytics enable healthcare engagement.
