    The Role

    Trident Search is seeking an Account Director - Public Sector to join the team. This crucial role will be dedicated to driving business growth and developing key relationships within the public sector. You will serve as a strategic partner, acting as a trusted advisor to government agencies and public bodies to help them effectively implement cybersecurity solutions.

    Working closely with internal sales teams and technical experts, you will be instrumental in identifying opportunities, navigating complex procurement processes, and translating the platform's capabilities into compelling business outcomes that meet the unique needs of public sector clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategic Account Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within public sector organisations.
    • Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, positioning solutions to address the specific cybersecurity challenges faced by government agencies.
    • Solution Design & Proposal Management: Collaborate with technical teams to design tailored cybersecurity solutions and lead the creation of compelling proposals, tenders, and presentations that align with public sector requirements and procurement protocols.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for public sector clients, addressing their needs, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring their success with technology.
    • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on public sector trends, legislative changes, and cybersecurity priorities to effectively position offerings and inform the product roadmap.
    • Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from public sector clients to help refine product and services, ensuring they continue to meet the evolving needs of this critical market.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, and legal teams to ensure all client-facing activities are aligned and compliant with public sector standards.

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a sales, account management, or business development role, with a proven track record of success within the public sector.
    • Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and familiarity with common security tools (e.g., SIEMs, SOAR platforms, firewalls). Experience in selling solutions to government agencies or public bodies is essential.
    • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Relationship Building: A strong ability to build and nurture strategic relationships, demonstrating a collaborative and client-centric approach.
    • Strategic Acumen: Proven experience in navigating complex sales cycles and procurement processes typical of the public sector.
    • Sales Methodology: Proficient in any sales methodology

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Public Sector Expertise: A background in selling cybersecurity solutions to public sector clients.
    • Technical Familiarity: Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms, data enrichment workflows, or security operations tools.
    • Certifications: Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or similar are a plus.
    • Fast-Paced Experience: Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment or startup setting.
