Our client, a global organisation in the technology and manufacturing sector, is seeking an Accounting Lead – EMEA to join their finance team. This is a strategic and hands‑on role within a growing international business that combines operational excellence with leadership responsibility. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, compliance and efficiency of the accounting and reporting processes across the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading monthly, quarterly and annual close processes for multiple EMEA entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting in a Shared Services setting.
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements and supporting schedules in compliance with US GAAP and internal reporting policies.
• Managing external audits and ensuring adherence to SOX and internal control requirements.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline and enhance accounting operations.
• Managing and developing a small team, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
• Ad hoc projects (e.g. system implementations) to support the wider finance team.

Key requirements:

• Ideally ACCA/CPA/CMA qualified and holding an Accounting, Finance or related degree. Master’s degree is a plus.
• 8‑12 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, including 3‑5 years of management/leadership experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP.
• Proven ability to manage complex multi‑entity structures across international jurisdictions.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel/reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions and regions.
• English fluency is essential (written/spoken). Other languages are a plus.
