As Advanced Quality Manager (m / f / d) you will drive the Advanced Quality Culture across the EMEA region by leading quality activities for new product and process launches as well as change management. Your work will follow automotive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodology, Clarios Power D3 launch process and IATF 16949. In this position you will be responsible for supporting the development of your direct reports through targeted feedback, coaching, and structured development planning. The position will be based in our Clarios EMEA headquarters office in Hannover, Germany.

What you will do

• Lead a team of Advanced Quality Engineers in EMEA supporting successful product and process launches across the region. Your key responsibilities include:
• Guide and support your team by overcoming roadblocks and exceeding expectations
• Ensure appropriate staffing for all active Simultaneous Development Teams (SDTs) in collaboration with Program Management and Quality leadership
• Secure the necessary training and support for your team in Clarios Power D3 launch process, customer-specific requirements, and key quality tools such as FMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans and PPAP / PPA
• Drive the professional growth of your team through structured development planning and regular feedback

What makes you a good fit

Education & Certification

Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Quality or Engineering (required)

Certified Quality Auditor (e.g. ASQ EOQ IRCA) advantageous

Trained in Quality Management Systems (QMS) standards including: ISO 9001, IATF 16949

Core Competencies

Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP): Proven experience in implementing APQP processes across development and production phases ensuring alignment with automotive quality standards.

Automotive Core Tools Proficiency: FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC.

PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)

Structured Problem-Solving Methodologies: 8D Reports, Ishikawa (Fishbone) Diagrams, 5-Why Analysis

Quality Management Systems: Hands-on experience in developing auditing and improving QMS in automotive environments. Strong understanding of compliance, traceability and continuous improvement

Technical Knowledge

Lead-Acid Battery Technology: Familiarity with design, production and quality control of low-voltage battery systems. Experience in automotive battery applications and related testing protocols

Software & Tools : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; skilled in standard PC applications used for quality documentation and reporting

Managerial & Communication Skills

Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams within development and production settings

Capable of independent project ownership and decision-making

Strong communication skills for customer-facing roles and internal collaboration

Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus for customer and documentation interactions
