What You Will Be Doing

  • Sizing and substantiation of helicopters rotor and suspension parts in static and fatigue using analytical, simulation, FEM, and test methodologies to ensure safety margins and service lives across development or in-service phases.
  • Preparation, support, and analysis of ground and/or flight tests required for substantiation of parts and loads assessment in collaboration with lab test and flight crew departments.
  • Learning and improving skills in Finite Element Modelling (Abaqus, HyperMesh, SAMCEF, etc.).
  • Learning and understanding the behaviors (physical, functional) of systems/components, especially static and dynamic behavior of structures dedicated to rotor system parts.

Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into the position. At the end of the 2-year development program you will have progressed to the position of Rotor system stress engineer.

What We Look For

  • A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study.
  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of mechanical behavior of helicopter rotor parts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment focused on driving future innovation.
  • The ability to be self-aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.

  • Degree required: Educated to 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
  • Specific experience or interests: mechanical part analysis including Finite Element modelling.

Statement: This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
