About CellScope.ai
We’re building CellScope.ai, an AI-powered platform that automates the analysis of flow cytometry data, which is one of the most widely used methods in biomedical research. Our mission is to reduce human error, save scientists time, and reveal new biological insights through smarter, automated analysis.


Job Overview
We are looking for a freelance AI developer to help us build the core of our intelligent data pipeline. This is not a research-only role. We are looking for someone who enjoys getting things done, building usable tools, and making data work for people.


What You’ll Work On:
• Develop and improve machine learning models for gating, clustering, and potentially anomaly detection in flow cytometry data (based on FCS files)
• Build modular, testable code and assist with integrating models into our backend (Python)
• Support the transition from prototype to MVP and scalable architecture and integrate the model with our frontend on bubble
• Translate biological constraints into modeling logic
• Help with setting up CI/CD and model versioning (e.g., MLflow, DVC)


Tech Stack:
• Python (incl. pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, etc.)
• PyTorch or TensorFlow (for any deep models)
• Google Cloud Platform (particularly with file processing and storage, e.g. Cloud Run, Storage, Firestore)
• Data Processing: Experience handling large datasets and real-time data transformations
• Familiarity with flow cytometry data (FCS files) is a big plus
• API development and integration


What We’re Looking For:
• Strong background in machine learning and statistics
• Experience working with large, noisy real-world datasets
• Ability to design, build, and document clean ML code
• Familiarity with clustering and dimensionality reduction methods
• Bonus: Experience working with biomedical data (omics, imaging, flow cytometry, etc.)
• Good communicator, curious, and pragmatic in problem solving
