In this role, you will contribute to the development of advanced AI solutions, building semantic and computational models and mappings that enhance our control system. You will work collaboratively with the whole team. Responsibilities Model ontologies and knowledge schemas that represent business processes, decisions, and dynamic systemsIntegrate LLM tooling (e.g., LangChain, RAG, embeddings) to automate extraction, mapping, and linkingDesign and manage knowledge graph operations, including ingestion, enrichment, and alignment of dataTranslate unstructured text into structured graphs (entities, relationships, attributes) using state-of-the-art tools and prompt-driven workflowsOwn and conduct rapid prototyping on AI functionalities, delivering 'WOW' moments on the customer endConduct experiments to validate model performance and optimise effectivenessMonitor and maintain AI system performance, identifying and addressing issues proactivelyProvide technical insights and support to other teams on AI-related tasks and stay up to date with trends and newest findings Requirements Proficiency in LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG workflowsStrong programming skills in Python or similar languages used in AI developmentAdvanced experience with frameworks such as LangChain and spaCyProven experience in developing and deploying algorithms towards knowledge extraction, mapping, and modeling for large amounts of informationRelevant experience and understanding of transparency and explainability of models, applying ontology logics and data lineageExperience with Foundry, GraknA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field is appreciatedYou must speak German at a level C1 or higherYou must speak English at a level C1 or higherYou already live or are willing to relocate to Cologne, Germany Benefits We are an early-stage organisation that values speed of development without cutting corners on core product quality.
