Analyst, Research & Strategy

Location: Role can be based in Munich or London - Fluent (native level) spoken and written German language skills essential.

Overview

LaSalle’s European Research & Strategy team aims to build a deep understanding of what drives European real estate performance and apply it to investment decisions that achieve LaSalle’s clients’ objectives. The team communicates strategy with an investor mindset through written commentary and presentations. The European Research & Strategy team is composed of 8 people across London and Munich, and is part of a wider global research team in North America and Asia-Pacific. The role is based in Munich and supports a collaborative, growth‑oriented culture within LaSalle’s global network.

Role and Accountabilities

The primary focus is to create and update real estate market research and intelligence across property types and geographies in Europe. The role requires an interest in local commercial real estate markets and a practical problem‑solving approach. Responsibilities include data extraction, management and preparation, and applying modern data manipulation techniques to drive insights. The role involves presentations and informal communications in German and English with investor clients and market participants. There is opportunity to learn from senior sector and market research specialists and to grow beyond current responsibilities, with close collaboration with the firm’s European fund management, transactions, and asset management teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors’ or advanced degree in economics, mathematics, urban geography, finance, or real estate-related field
• Previous real estate experience is beneficial but not required
• Analytical approach with strong attention to detail
• Highly organized, able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Strong team player with ability to communicate across borders and cultures
• Good written and spoken communication skills
• Fluent (native level) German language skills and high professional proficiency in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Technical aptitude or willingness to learn in areas such as:
• Modern data management
• Quantitative analytical techniques
• Data visualization
