Analytics Engineer - Data Warehouse & Reporting Expert (Freelance, Remote)

Pet Printed GmbH is seeking an experienced freelance data expert to own and manage our Data Warehouse and analytics infrastructure. This role focuses on building reliable ELT pipelines (Fivetran + dbt Cloud), modeling data in BigQuery , and delivering dashboards/reports for our stakeholders – primarily on request. This is not an exploratory data science role; it’s about building a clean, scalable data stack and ensuring fast, accurate delivery of insights.

Responsibilities

• Own our Data Warehouse setup (BigQuery)
• Develop and maintain ELT pipelines with Fivetran and dbt (Cloud)
• Build efficient, scalable data models
• Deliver dashboards and reports using Looker Studio
• Use Google Sheets for supplemental data tracking and analysis
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand data needs
• Use Git for version control, and Asana for project management

Must-Have Skills

• BigQuery, Fivetran, dbt Cloud
• Advanced SQL
• Looker Studio dashboarding
• Google Sheets (advanced level)
• Solid grasp of statistics and data modeling
• Git, Asana
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Self-driven and detail-oriented
