Our subsidiary, the 'Yield Technology Group' located in Feldkirchen (near Munich) develops and produces high-precision electron optical devices (electron microscopes) with a close collaboration with internationally networked locations such as Taiwan, India and California .
For our constantly growing location in Feldkirchen, we are looking to strengthening our team and hence actively looking for a System Engineer, Application and Development (m/f/d) who is willing to joining our development team to managing and executing the projects within development and customer support, in minor part at a customer site in Asia or North America or Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Drive development projects for new SEM based applications in the Display manufacturing and SEMI advanced and panel level packaging, including SW, HW and electronic area
- Develop and improve manuals and application documentation
- Follow-up and completion of all technical open issues with support of local teams in Asia or North America or Europe to achieve system acceptance by customer
- Support in sales and service areas through publications, presentations, customer demonstrations
- Development of new system components, features, and test processes
- Control of the system performance in terms of specifications including necessary corrections
- Troubleshooting in mechanics, software, electronics on alpha and beta systems
- Ability to cope with and manage difficult development and application tasks within a global engineering team in Germany, Asia and to the parent company in Santa Clara, USA.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally including temporary assignments at Asian customers (expected to be below 20 % of the time for this role)
Education and experience:
- A technical or university degree in electrical engineering, physics or related engineering disciplines
- At least 4 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or comparable areas like display manufacturing, with special knowledge of system analysis, computer control, electronics, mechanics, vacuum technology
- Previous knowledge of scanning electron microscope (SEM) hardware or application is an advantage
- Good analytical skills
- Excellent communication in German and English
