Based in Dortmund, we have a full‑time vacancy for a Sales Engineer (m/f/d) in nanofabrication and characterization systems.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality product demonstrations.
  • Execute application projects and advise customers with technical understanding of the tools and their performance capacity, acting as a technological interface.
  • Translate customer requests and needs into application solutions.
  • Continuously improve application performance.
  • Nurture positive customer relationships and act as the highest‑level customer interface for specific equipment and applications requests.
  • Collaborate with product management, R&D, and other applications departments to provide feedback on system performance and potential improvements or future developments.
  • Root cause analysis and perform minor tool maintenance work.

Key Results

  • Successful product and application demonstrations in the form of sample work projects and in‑house demonstrations.
  • Successful execution of application challenges to showcase RAITH's technological and applicative advantages to customers.
  • Provide internal feedback on tool performance and customer needs to help RAITH continuously improve its products.
  • Maintain a collaborative attitude to meet customer needs and nurture a positive relationship.

Profile

  • PhD or Master’s degree, preferably with 3 years relevant work experience in physics, materials science, electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge and extensive hands‑on experience with EBL tools are required.Proven track record of working well with cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills tailored for a wide variety of audiences.
  • Outstanding customer interfacing skills are an absolute necessity.
  • Knowledge of advanced technology progressions in the field of nanofabrication would be a plus.
  • Self‑motivation and result‑driven attitude with outstanding problem‑solving skills.
  • Fluent in English; good German language skills.
