The Role
The Technical Services Operation & Maintenance Team for Vehicle Utilities continuously monitors and manages utility systems ensuring that they meet the process specifications for vehicle production. When there are degradations to these systems that impact safety or production, the team is the first line of defense to make time-critical adjustments. The team is also responsible for continuously designing and implementing strategies/improvements to ensure optimum performance of utility systems, working on energy saving projects and driving reliability initiatives for a continuous OEE improvement.
As Associate Manager you will manage a team of Supervisors and Technicians specialists in a variety of systems and machinery: centrifugal chillers, large turbo compressors, cooling tower systems, boilers, dust collectors, domestic water, HVAC, vehicle fluid delivery systems, pumping systems are among some of the assets you will be managing.
What You'll Do

  • Monitor and improve system’s KPIs such as OEE as defined by Engineers.
  • Develop, implement, track and improve maintenance related KPI’s such as MTTR, MTBF.
  • Define shift teams to support 24/7 operations of Vehicle factory.
  • Responsible for shift planning.
  • Overall responsibility for Ticket system and monitor team performance by creating KPIs.
  • Create qualification and development technical matrices for Supervisors & Technicians.
  • Organize/Develop trainings for Supervisors & Technicians.
  • Implementation and execution of maintenance (preventive & predictive) plans/strategies as defined by the Engineers and Regulatory requirements (i.e., REG-IS).
  • Planning, organization, coordination for scheduled maintenance tasks during shutdowns.
  • Ensuring EHS and regulatory compliance for the team, systems and operations.
  • Manage physical assets (e.g., tools and equipment, PPE, etc.).
  • Work together with Engineers in developing and implementing reliability projects.
  • Work together with Engineers in implementing expansion and energy efficiency projects.
  • Develop solutions to reduce operational maintenance costs.
  • Creation of work instructions and LOTO procedures.
  • If required, support Supervisors and Technicians in troubleshooting operational issues.

  • What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering or technical roles with a focus on mechanical systems/industrial/high volume production processes.
  • Leadership experience required as people manager.
  • Intermediate knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and industrial process systems: chilled/cooling and heating water distribution networks, compressed air networks, rotary equipment (pumps, fans, compressors), HVAC. Hands-on experience on rotary equipment maintenance and diagnosis is a benefit.
  • Strong troubleshooting background and issue resolution.
  • Good German and English communication skills
  • Strong teamwork.
  • Proven ability to work in a large, complex environment where you must adapt to meet company needs.
