About Us:
We are a German company in the ingredients and life sciences industry. We regularly receive Safety Data Sheets (SDS / MSDS) from our suppliers (mostly PDF or Word). Before sending them to our customers, we need to “neutralize” these SDS:


• Remove supplier details and branding
• Insert our company information
• Standardize the structure according to our own Word template (16 SDS sections, EU CLP compliant)
• Adapt for multiple languages (EN / DE / FR at first, later more)
• Export into Word + PDF in our format


Project Goal:
We want to automate this process with Make.com (Integromat) and GPT:


• Input: supplier SDS (PDF, DOCX)
• Processing: extract content → transform into our standard template → replace supplier details with our own → keep product-specific data (CAS, INCI, physical values, hazard info, H/P statements)
• Output: ready-to-use DOCX and PDF files in our layout, possibly stored in SharePoint / OneDrive


Requirements:

• Strong experience with Make.com scenarios and automation
• Proven skills with OpenAI / GPT API integration
• Experience with PDF/Word parsing and text extraction
• Understanding of structured documents (SDS/MSDS experience is a big plus, but not mandatory)
• Ability to handle multilingual output (mainly EN, DE, FR)
• Clean, reliable, repeatable workflows


Nice to have:

• Knowledge of EU CLP / REACH regulation terminology
• Experience with chemical or life sciences documentation


Deliverables:

• A working Make.com scenario (or set of scenarios) that can process uploaded SDS files into our neutralized format
• Documentation and short handover/training so our team can run it independently


Budget / Duration:

• Initial project: set up workflow for 2–3 test products (Avocado Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Almond Oil)
• If successful: long-term cooperation for ongoing automation and improvements
