Back End Developer

Location: Remote, Europe

Our client is a fast-growing tech company with a portfolio of modern SaaS products serving diverse industries. We value innovation, high performance, and precision in execution. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a talented Back-End Engineer to join the team and develop high-performance, scalable, and user-focused web applications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily team routines (Stand-Ups, Plannings, etc.).
• Actively contribute to sprint work, writing clean, testable code.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing functionality.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, Product Managers, and Engineers to gather and refine requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Integrate software components into fully functional systems.
• Work with 3rd-party APIs and services.
• Monitor system performance and apply best development practices.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience with Node.js and RESTful APIs.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with NestJS.
• Strong understanding of web application architecture, OOP, design patterns, and service-oriented architecture.
• Advanced experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, ORM) and designing scalable schemas.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• English proficiency (written and spoken) for effective communication in a distributed team.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of HTML/CSS3, React.js/Next.js.
• Experience integrating payment systems (Stripe).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Experience working on SaaS products.
• Previous Tech Lead experience.
