Leap29 is hiring on behalf of a renewable energy developer focused on utility-scale solar PV solutions and BESS with a growing presence across Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Austria and Poland. As part of their expanding energy storage portfolio in Germany, they’re looking for a BESS Project Developer to join their team in Cologne . This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping Germany’s renewable energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop utility-scale BESS projects from site identification to commissioning
• Oversee grid connection processes and coordinate with TSOs / DSOs
• Navigate permitting and regulatory approvals with local authorities
• Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, legal, finance) for smooth project execution
• Engage with stakeholders including landowners, consultants, and energy partners
• Track regulatory changes and support long-term storage strategy

Key Requirements :

• Experience in the renewable energy sector development, with specific experience in solar, BESS and / or hybrid systems in Germany (preferred)
• Good understanding of the German transmission and distribution grid landscape
• Experience with permitting, licensing, and regulatory compliance in the German energy sector
• Fluent in German and English (essential)
