Biopharma S&OP (Senior) Manager/Director (m/f/d)

The core objective of this role is to lead S&OP and Regional demand planning and drive forecast accuracy globally, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals. Acting as the voice of the Market Units, the role provides reliable demand visibility to support strategic BU decisions in supply planning and inventory management. By bridging local insights with regional execution, the position plays a critical role in enabling a responsive and resilient supply chain.

Your Assignments:

S&OP lead:

• Lead the regional S&OP cycle (Demand, Supply, Inventory Reviews)
• Drive S&OP implementation across countries and regions
• Coach Market Units (MUs) to improve maturity in Demand Review

Regional Demand Planning, Forecasting & Analytics:

• Ensure high forecast accuracy and demand visibility
• Monitor weekly forecast changes and align with MU General Management
• Act as the link between MUs, Regions and BU in the S&OP process
• Continuously improve forecast accuracy, bias, and statistical forecast usage

Supply Allocation Management:

• Support the allocation processes for constrained products led by Regional Commercial Operations
• Maintain constraint demand data in IBP
• Ensure supply continuity and alignment across the region

Inventory & Lifecycle Management:

• Monitor master data settings during product launches
• Analyze inventory health and initiate mitigation actions
• Manage lifecycle transitions (launches, discontinuations, transfers)
• Provide forward-looking demand visibility to support inventory strategy

Operational Excellence & Digitalization:

• Promote process optimization, standardization, and automation
• Collaborate with the Global SCM Center of Excellence
• Contribute to system improvements and reporting solutions
• Share best practices across countries and regions

Your Profile:

• Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similar
• Min. 10 years of experience in data-driven environments (e.g. SCM, Finance, Consulting, Supply Chain or similar)
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, ideally in the biopharmaceutical industry
• Advanced Excel skills, ideally including scenario modeling
• Experience with S&OP / IBP processes and SAP IBP; SAP ECC is a plus
• Proven ability to set up processes, tools, and structures; experience in project management is an advantage
• Analytical mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented working style
• Fluent in English; additional language skills (e.g. German or French) are a plus
