    Client Background & Position Overview

    Our client is a well-established European technology firm known for delivering high-integrity digital solutions across critical industries such as finance, aerospace, energy, and defense. With a strong reputation for engineering excellence and innovation, the company is actively expanding its footprint in the DACH region.

    As part of this growth, we are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager – Banking & Financial Services to join their team in Munich (Hybrid). This role focuses on driving new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and shaping digital transformation strategies tailored to the banking and financial services sector.

    Responsibilities
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Banking & Financial Services sector in the DACH region
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
    • Attend industry events to stay abreast of market trends and networking opportunities
    • Use platforms like LinkedIn and CRM tools for lead generation and pipeline management
    • Write and deliver compelling proposals tailored to client needs
    • Present solutions and value propositions to senior client stakeholders
    • Manage multiple sales opportunities and priorities simultaneously
    • Collaborate with marketing and business enablement teams on targeted campaigns
    • Contribute to long-term go-to-market strategy and positioning efforts
    • Balance independent initiative with team-driven collaboration

    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (MBA a plus)
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or consultative sales within the banking or financial services industry
    • Proven success in designing and delivering digital transformation solutions or bespoke IT projects
    • Familiarity with agile software engineering practices and solution-driven sales
    • Experience with CRM systems and lead generation tools (e.g. LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
    • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
    • Excellent communication, proposal writing, and negotiation abilities
    • Fluent in both English and German (written and spoken)
    • Experience working with international or distributed teams is an asset
    • Willingness to travel occasionally across Europe
