    About the Role

    We’re seeking a driven and tech-savvy Business Development Representative (BDR) to help fuel our growth. As a key member of our Sales team, you’ll research and prospect into our target markets, engage potential customers, and set qualified product demonstrations for our Account Executives.

    This role is designed as a launchpad into SaaS sales. You’ll receive mentorship and access to modern sales tools—all while contributing to our mission of expanding access to lifelong learning.

    What You’ll Do

    Prospecting & Outreach

    • Research, identify, and engage new sales opportunities using our lead database, online resources, and creative outbound strategies.
    • Reach out via phone, email, and other channels to build relationships and generate interest.
    • Apply a customer-centric approach to uncover needs, challenges, and alignment with CourseStorm.
    • Attend industry events to connect with prospects and better understand our target market.

    Sales Process Support

    • Schedule product demonstrations for Account Executives.
    • Consistently meet and exceed monthly demo-setting and pipeline-building targets.
    • Partner with Sales leadership to refine messaging, strategy, and market approach.

    Pipeline & Reporting

    • Manage and track opportunities using CRM and sales automation tools.
    • Report weekly on KPIs such as outreach activity, demo conversion, and pipeline growth.

    Market Knowledge

    • Develop a deep understanding of CourseStorm’s platform, value proposition, and competitive landscape.
    • Stay current on trends in SaaS, education, and nonprofit technology.

    Requirements

    What We’re Looking For

    • Exceptional communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
    • Motivation, resilience, and comfort making a high volume of outreach calls/emails.
    • Ability to work independently while staying organized and results-focused.
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and excitement about working in a fast-paced startup environment.
    • Prior experience in outbound sales, customer service, or a related role.
    • Familiarity with CRM and sales automation software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
    • Experience in SaaS, nonprofit, or education sectors.
    • Demonstrated success overcoming challenges, thinking creatively, and contributing to team success.
