Develop and scale up aevoloop’s innovative process for upcycling plastic waste streams into the building blocks for our novel polyester-based plastics, targeting a 50 kg process.
Optimize and operate end-to-end gas-liquid / gas-solid processes, identifying the right reaction conditions for selectively obtaining aevoloop’s building blocks.
Collect process data, extract learnings, visualize findings, and report to the team.
Benchmark aevoloop’s process against state-of-the-art literature data and build a knowledge database on innovative plastic upcycling.
Drive innovation by contributing your chemical expertise into a team of seasoned chemists, chemical engineers, and technicians.
Prepare technical reports and contribute for patent applications.
Develop your own data extraction tools and use these to extract parameter trends and other valuable information from previously conducted experimental data.
Degree in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field (PhD) with experience in gas-liquid processes. Industrial experience in this field is advantageous.
A solid understanding of organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, particularly polyolefins, including their applications, formulation, and behaviour.
Expertise in gasification and partial oxidation processes is advantageous.
Well-versed in organic redox chemistry, process development. Experience in process simulation, techno-economic analysis, HAZOP analysis, and mass and energy balancing is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); German language skills are advantageous.
You bring a hands-on mindset, structure your work efficiently, and collaborate seamlessly across disciplines – even under the dynamics of a fast-paced start-up environment.
