Group Leader @ Fraunhofer IIS | Human-Centered Conversational AI

Your Mission

As Technical Co-Founder, you will be our chief solution architect and lead the development of our platform ecosystem that serves both certification companies and enterprise AI deployers. You’ll transform cutting-edge research into production-ready, standards-compliant technology that can be deployed at scale across regulated industries.

Your Focus

• Platform Architecture: Design modular, reusable validation components that can be assembled into standalone certification tools and integrated enterprise solutions
• Technical Leadership: Build and lead engineering teams while establishing development processes for regulatory-compliant software
• Product Engineering: Drive technical strategy from research prototypes to enterprise-grade SaaS platforms supporting both on-premise and cloud deployments
• Standards Implementation: Translate AI Act and ISO/IEC requirements into robust, auditable technical architectures
• Integration Strategy: Enable seamless integration of our quality control modules into diverse enterprise AI systems and workflows

What You Bring

• 5-8 years technical leadership in enterprise SaaS, preferably in AI/ML, compliance tech, or regulated industries
• Platform architecture expertise: Experience building modular, multi-tenant systems serving diverse customer segments
• Regulatory technology experience: Understanding of compliance requirements, audit trails, and enterprise security standards
• Team building skills: Proven ability to recruit, lead, and scale engineering teams in startup environments
• Entrepreneurial mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity and driving technical decisions in fast-moving markets

Bonus Points

• Experience with evaluation frameworks, testing platforms, or certification systems
• Background in standards implementation (ISO, IEC, or similar regulatory frameworks)
• Knowledge of EU AI Act, GDPR, or other AI governance requirements
• Previous CTO experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise compliance tools
• Network in AI research, standards bodies, or regulated industry technology

• Co-founder equity with range between 8%-15% (negotiable based on experience and timing), spin-off planned with investor capital in Q1 2026 – salary payments negotiable thereafter
