Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

In support of our vertical brand and commercial development strategy, you will be responsible for increasing brand awareness and engagement for outdoor communities in new epicenters. This role will lead the Direct-To-Consumer market readiness strategy and initiatives, as well as support the planning and execution of marketing plans for new store openings. You will collaborate closely with all EMEA brand marketing functions, including Community Marketing, Brand Communications, Sports Marketing and Brand Experience, as well as with local and regional Commercial teams.

This role is based out of our Garching office (near Munich) and is open to hybrid remote work (2 days in the office, 2 days at home and 1 day at the discretion of the manager). This role requires 30% of the time travelling across EMEA and candidates must be eligible to work in Germany.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Community Marketing Coordinator is part of the Arc’teryx EMEA Community Marketing team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager Community Marketing EMEA. The Community Marketing team leads the strategy and processes that support our Brand integration into our Commercial strategy, building community pillars (partnerships, ambassadorship, event, and more) to increase brand awareness, store traffic, and revenue.

If you were in the Community Marketing Coordinator - EMEA role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Conceptualizing and executing outdoor community experiences to increase local brand awareness
  • Developing and nurturing high impact local partnership and ambassador relationships.
  • Coordinating new store opening (NSO) marketing projects in collaboration with the regional Community Marketing Manager, including ideation, planning, execution and reporting of all marketing activations
  • Managing the delivery of contractual obligations with key Community Impact partners across the region (project support, equipment seeding, etc.)
  • Owning communications and reporting with cross-functional teams to announce and amplify community activations.
  • Managing related budgets for owned Market Readiness projects.
  • Creating and building SOPs (standard operating procedures) to enable local Community Marketing Managers with efficient and effective tools to plan and execute community experiences

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Researching and assessing the Community Marketing opportunities of future European markets.
  • Supporting the EMEA Community Marketing Manager to develop full market readiness roadmaps for future European markets.
  • Leading bespoke regional experiences, in collaboration with the Brand Experience team.

Are you our next Community Marketing Coordinator - EMEA?

  • You have 3+ years’ experience in events organization, working with outdoor brands, and/or in a DTC Community role
  • You have a Bachelor and/or master’s degree, preferably in the field of marketing
  • You have a thorough understanding of Arc’teryx brand positioning and can translate this clearly to consumers and partners
  • You have a finger on the pulse of the European outdoor culture, and knowledge of key market specificities
  • You have an extensive contact list of key people and partners across Europe
  • You excel at building relationships and act in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner with internal and external stakeholders
  • You can multitask, prioritize, and plan several concurrent projects
  • You can work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • You have excellent written, presentation, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills in English. Proficiency in other European languages is an asset
  • You are proficient with the Microsoft Office pack. Proficiency in additional software tools such as SAP and Adobe are useful
  • You are flexible in working weekends occasionally (on average one weekend per month), especially leading up to large events
  • You are a collaborator and connector, creating a respectful environment for your peers and leadership
  • You are committed and an active contributor in team meetings
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and taking initiative to develop adapted solutions in a timely manner
  • You remain highly flexible and are able to take tough decisions when faced with ambiguity.
