Overview
Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist (m/f/d) at METRO.digital. We are driving technology for METRO, a leading international wholesale group in food, with products spanning ecommerce to delivery software. We operate in 25 countries, focusing on digitization and a sustainable market ecosystem in B2B. We are seeking a responsible colleague to oversee Romania and Germany, focusing on compensation strategy and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement competitive salary structures.
- Conduct market salary surveys to ensure pay equity.
- Analyze compensation data to recommend adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Communicate compensation policies to employees.
- Collaborate with HR and management to align compensation strategies with organizational goals; continuously research industry trends and best practices.
- Determine appropriate position classifications, develop and maintain salary scales, and advise managers on job descriptions, salary structures, and classification decisions to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
- Benefits insurance renewals and manage providers/brokers for allocated countries.
- Design and lead internal policies from strategy to structure/communication/documentation/system and rollout.
- Run annual salary increases: calculate and allocate budget, build guideline, create Excel tools, present to the business, consolidate increases and administer system upload.
Required key competencies and qualifications
- Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in job description writing, salary structuring and classification, with a background in HR practices and managing compensation cycles.
- Familiarity with job evaluation and analysis systems.
- Experience conducting market surveys; knowledge of various incentives and benefits.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
