Job Description — Composite Finisher / Fitter (F1 Experience Required)

Location: Germany
Contract Length: 6 Months

Rate: €35/hour

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Composite Finisher / Fitter with Formula 1 or high-performance motorsport experience to join our client’s elite build team. You will be working on carbon fibre, aluminium, and titanium components, ensuring flawless quality and precision assembly for a cutting-edge motorsport project.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced Formula 1 environment where speed, accuracy, and craftsmanship are paramount.




Key Responsibilities

• Trimming, sanding, and hand-finishing carbon fibre components to exact tolerances.
• Working with aluminium and titanium inserts, brackets, and hybrid assemblies.
• Bonding and drilling precision holes for multi-material assemblies.
• Fitting structural and cosmetic components according to tight F1 specifications.
• Performing detailed inspections to identify and correct imperfections.
• Collaborating with engineers and laminators to deliver parts ready for final assembly.
• Maintaining a clean, controlled finishing environment to F1 quality standards.



Requirements

• Proven experience as a Composite Finisher / Fitter in Formula 1, WEC, Hypercar, or high-performance motorsport.
• Strong skills in trimming, drilling, polishing, and bonding inserts into composites.
• Confident working with carbon fibre, aluminium, and titanium assemblies.
• Ability to work to extremely tight tolerances and follow technical drawings precisely.
• Comfortable under race build deadlines and able to deliver flawless results under pressure.
• EU passport or valid EU work permit required.



Preferred Experience

• Previous contracts with F1 teams, hypercar manufacturers, or Tier 1 motorsport suppliers.
• Experience with hybrid structures involving carbon + aluminium + titanium.
• Knowledge of autoclave processes and composite layup techniques is a bonus but not essential.
