The Opportunity

The Associate Director (AD) will lead EY’s Office Connect Team (Engineering and Delivery), managing a global team that validates, implements, and tests designs, lab tests, product certifications, and service delivery. The AD will be accountable for delivery excellence, ensuring projects meet business requirements, budgets, and industry‑leading technical solutions. They will collaborate across the network organization, Information Security, Supply Chain Services, Legal, and approved vendors to deliver Wi‑Fi technology solutions that exceed EY end‑user expectations.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Technical lead for all global Wi‑Fi designs.
• Strategic thinker with deep understanding of EY end‑user business requirements.
• Ensure all solutions are fully tested, documented, and represent industry‑leading solutions.
• Stay forward‑thinking and understand current and next‑generation technologies.
• Manage global teams and suppliers.
• Implement risk management and continuous improvement strategies.
• Lead advanced network monitoring tools and AI initiatives.
• Manage program, product development, piloting, testing, global deployment, and post‑implementation validations.

Management Responsibilities

• Lead the global engineering and deployment team.
• Develop relationships with approved suppliers/equipment manufacturers.
• Collaborate with business leaders, Member Firms, and partners on innovative solutions.
• Present industry‑leading technological advancements that improve service quality and security.

Knowledge Required for Disciplines

• 15+ years of experience leading network design and architecture teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related discipline; Master’s preferred; professional accreditation a plus.
• Advanced skills in planning, designing, and troubleshooting complex network environments.
• Track record of customer focus, openness, trust, and delivering on promises.
• Time‑management skills for multiple large, complex projects.
• Strong interpersonal and team‑working skills across matrixed, geographically dispersed virtual teams.
• Data‑guided, analytical approach with measurable results.
• Excellent understanding of the Office Connect product portfolio.
• Excellent communication of complex technical information to diverse business audiences.
• Experience developing, managing, and presenting business cases and strategic plans.

Knowledge Required Beyond the Job

• Industry accreditation such as CCNA R&S, CCNP R&S, CCNA Wireless, CCNP, Meraki Wireless, or equivalent.
• Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands and rapid change.
• Ability to work with diverse teams both within and outside IT.
• Efficiently handle escalations and difficult situations under pressure.
• Understand and integrate cultural and individual differences in virtual cross‑border global teams.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.

Problem Solving

• Leverage deep technical knowledge to drive innovation and problem resolution, minimizing outages.
• Manage complex global Wi‑Fi engineering, delivery, and external influences (RF). Act as final escalation point for network‑related problems.
• Validate Office Connect solutions using industry best practices.
• Collaborate and develop design documentation for implementation and ongoing support by Regional Data Network and Operations teams.

Relationships

• Office Connect lead and trusted advisor for I&O organization. BRM/Member Firm stakeholders globally, hardware suppliers, professional service vendors, WAN, Infosec, EY Supply Chain Services (contract management).

Team Management

• (3) EY teams consisting of engineering, reporting, and management of Kyndryl resources.
