Job Overview

Seeking a high‑caliber OSS Construction Surveillance Specialist for a critical role focusing on offshore wind infrastructure in the Baltic Sea. This exciting Freelancer contract runs for approximately 160 full days , through August 2026, and is centered around project sites in Vlissingen, Schiedam, and Zingst . We are looking for an expert in high‑voltage cable installation and quality assurance to oversee crucial mock‑up and termination works. Leverage your deep sector knowledge and Pfisterer certification to ensure top‑tier conformity and technical excellence on this major grid connection project. This is a unique opportunity for an independent professional to make a direct impact on a flagship energy transition initiative.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of cable installation for 220kV and Fiber Optic (FO) systems, including pull‑in, routing, and terminations.
• Oversight of critical mock‑up and final testing activities, such as Harbor Acceptance Test (HAT), to ensure readiness for deployment.
• Verification of contractual requirements and technical regulations adherence throughout all work execution phases.
• Inspection of all installation work and components, conducting incoming checks and monitoring quality standards.
• Analysis of Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), including tracking cause identification and solution implementation.
• Review of approved work procedures and active participation in project status meetings.

Skills and Qualifications

• Completion of studies in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Expertise in the energy cable sector and high‑voltage cable systems.
• Certification with a Pfisterer S4 or S6 qualification for cable joining and termination.
• Proficiency in performing and supervising cable testing activities and identifying quality issues.Application of Project Management principles and adherence to technical procedures.
• Fluency in English, both oral and written, and possession of an SCC Certificate.
