Job Summary

Join McKinsey & Company as a Consultant – Procurement and apply your expertise in global sourcing, category management, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements as part of McKinsey’s Operations Excellence Program (OEP), applying structured problem‑solving methods to diagnose issues, design analyses, and recommend actions.
• Build functional expertise in one of six operations themes – manufacturing, product development, purchasing, service operations, supply chain management, or capital excellence.
• Deliver end‑to‑end solutions for procurement and supply‑chain challenges, from strategy design to implementation support.
• Collaborate with a global, cross‑functional team of consultants and subject‑matter experts to drive impact for clients.

Qualifications & Skills

• Master’s degree; exceptional academic record.
• Strategic purchasing and/or supply‑management experience (e.g., global sourcing, category management, RfQ processes, negotiations).
• Proven leadership record in work or extracurricular settings.
• Mobility and enthusiasm for European assignments during the work week.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and a local office language.
