Consultant Psychiatrist

Join to apply for the Consultant Psychiatrist role at Practice Plus Group . This position is located at HMP Stocken, a Category C training prison housing around 1,056 patients aged 21–40. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver support to adult males with complex mental health and trauma needs.

Hours and Salary

20 hours per week working across 2.5 days. You will receive an annual salary up to £186,480 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Schedule Flexibility

A rolling rota is created: 2 days one week, 3 days the next, with flexibility within Monday–Friday. Full‑time work is also available for sessions at HMP Gartree or HMP Five Wells.

Support and Development

• You will be part of a team of 15+ experienced and supportive Consultant psychiatrists.
• You will attend monthly Consultant meetings and 1:1 clinical supervision.
• Receive bespoke induction, including the Introducing Health in Justice training course.
• Access to a competency framework.

Requirements
