Your job mission:
We are looking for a Corporate Affairs & Communications Operations Manager(m/f/d) to join our dynamic Corporate Affairs & Communications (CA&C) team in Berlin.
In this role, you will report to the Corporate Affairs & Communications Operations Lead Manager based in Cologne and work closely with cross-functional teams in Berlin, Cologne and Trier as well as international colleagues to support strategic initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
Your tasks – exciting and diverse:
- Regulatory Monitoring and Engagement – Reduced Risk Products: Track and analyze legislative, regulatory, and taxation developments related to Reduced Risk Products (RRPs), including heated tobacco, nicotine pouches, e-cigarettes, and emerging nicotine delivery systems. Collaborate with CA&C and other departments to assess the impact of these developments on JTI’s business and the broader tobacco industry.
- Corporate Affairs Support in Berlin: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in national and regional government bodies and support engagement in industry issues such as taxation, regulation and sustainability.Support the development and execution of government relations, media engagement, and corporate event strategies to foster constructive dialogue with stakeholders.
- Media Relations: Plan and execute media relations activities in coordination with the Corporate Communications Manager. Build relationships with trade and news media by responding to their inquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring consistent messaging and brand representation.
Your talent – communication and organization:
- University degree in social, economic, environmental, or political sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in politics, public administration, regulatory affairs, corporate communications, journalism, PR, or agency work.
- Native-level German and excellent English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Proactive, independent, and solution-oriented mindset combined with can-do attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Service-oriented and results-driven approach
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with SAP and Canva is a plus
