Mission

  • Promote safety culture in its area of responsibilities.
  • Design and implement the Supply‑Chain & Packaging solutions for OPTIMAP, OPTRIPRO or Productivity projects.
  • Provide input and quotes during the AVP phases.

Activities

  • Ensures that safety policies are understood and respected within his area of responsibilities.
  • Exploratory consultation phase (AVP)
    • Defines optimum supply‑chain organisation, human resources, means necessary to guarantee safety, customer service and quality while keeping costs and inventories to a minimum.
    • Calculates the supply‑chain & packaging budget of the project (cost per part, investment …).
    • Makes sure that the quotation is based on the use of standard equipment and processes.
    • Identifies and escalates any industrial risks.
  • Project development phase
    • Applies POMS and Supply‑Chain standards.
    • Defines and develops the supply‑chain scheme from suppliers to customers: physical flows, information flows, outbound, inbound, internal plant, always in contact with Manufacturing Project Managers and plants.
    • Defines optimum stock levels at each step of the process, focusing on lead‑time optimisation.
    • Develops the functional specifications for semi‑finished packaging means and final packaging from the customer specifications, industrial organisation and production units constraints, in cooperation with assembly engineers, Manufacturing Project Managers and plant Engineers.
    • Ensures first tuning and reception of packaging means, their availability for trials at each step of the project development, until customers approval and until objectives are met.
    • Takes part in the functional definition of the related information systems, in relation with the SCOOP BO.
    • Designs the layout of inbound, internal and outbound flows / dimensions the storage areas.
    • Analyses the impacts of perimeter evolutions on the organisation, resources, packaging types and investments and supply chain costs.
    • Participates in the supplier selection process with Purchasint (Transport, SILS, Platforms, Packaging, Dynamic Storage), providing technical validation of the selected solutions.
    • Documents and implements supply‑chain processes and policies.
    • Manages logistics FMEA and audits, if any needed.
    • Provides support to the plant during the start of production and ramp‑up phases.

Competences & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with experience or Master’s degree.
  • Previous experience as Plant Logistics Engineer or similar role in an industrial company / logistics provider.
  • Good understanding of lean principles and supply‑chain tools as well as mechanical engineering principles, including the ability to work with a 3D Viewer Software.
  • Customer orientation / Leadership / Team spirit / Autonomy.
  • Openness to new ideas.
  • Multi‑functional & multi‑cultural communication – English / German mandatory.
  • Willing to travel extensively.
