Base pay range

$180,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technological development of our Web3 company. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of blockchain technology, decentralised finance (DeFi), stablecoins, lending/borrowing mechanisms, and crypto-economics.
This role involves strategic decision-making, technical innovation, and leading a team to develop groundbreaking blockchain solutions.
Key Responsibilities


• Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company's goals .
• Keep abreast of new trends and technologies in blockchain, DeFi, and crypto-economics to maintain and advance the company's industry leadership.
• Evaluate and implement technological systems and infrastructure for scalability and growth.
• Drafting technical specifications and documentation.
• Select and define the technology stack and architecture for the protocol, including the choice of blockchain platforms and smart contract languages.
• Enhance the protocol for optimal efficiency, speed, and overall performance.
• Perform extensive testing and validation of the protocol to identify and rectify any
  
vulnerabilities or potential issues.

• Oversee the research, development, and deployment of the protocol.
• DeFi and Blockchain Expertise:
• Lead the development of DeFi protocols including, yield farming, liquidity mining, and governance models.
• Guide the team in building and maintaining blockchain networks, smart contracts, and decentralised applications (DApps) using industry best-practices.
• Stablecoin Platforms:
• Oversee initiatives involving stablecoin development and integration, understanding various pegging mechanisms.
• Spearhead the creation of decentralised lending and borrowing platforms, with a focus on risk management and sustainability.
• Crypto-Economics:
• Design and manage tokenomics and economic models underlying the company's blockchain products.
• Analyse market dynamics and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisions.
• Team Leadership:
• Build, mentor, and lead a diverse and high-performing technical team.
• Encourage a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaborative
  
problem-solving.

• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Communicate complex technology strategies to stakeholders effectively.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and in blockchain communities.
• Risk Management and Compliance:
• Ensure the security and compliance of blockchain technologies and products.
• Oversee cybersecurity measures and data protection strategies.
  
Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a CTO or senior technical role within the blockchain or Web3 space.
• In-depth knowledge of blockchain technologies, Ethereum, smart contracts, DeFi, stablecoins, and lending/borrowing platforms.
• Strong understanding of crypto-economics, market dynamics, and tokenomics,.
• Proven track record of leading and scaling high-performance technical teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; additional qualifications in Economics or Finance is a plus.
