Role description
We’re looking for a Customer Success Manager to join our mission-driven team - either remotely or from our office in Berlin - as we continue scaling our impact and growing our customer base.As a key member of the team, you will be the primary point of contact for some of our most strategic customers and partners.
You’ll empower them to maximize the value of our platform, drive product adoption, and unlock actionable carbon insights. Our customers range from leading B2B software providers to sustainability consultancies and enterprise teams that embed our carbon intelligence into their products, services, and internal systems.
Many of our customers are new to carbon accounting and lean on us as trusted advisors. You will guide them through integrating emission metrics, understanding methodologies, and aligning with best practices in greenhouse gas (GHG) measurement and reporting.
This is a cross-functional, high-impact role where your technical aptitude, customer-first mindset, and carbon literacy will directly influence product success and climate impact. You’ll work alongside a global team of climate scientists, software engineers, and commercial leaders to build the leading carbon data and analytics platform.
What you’ll do:
- Own a portfolio of strategic accounts, nurturing relationships to drive long-term value and identify growth opportunities
- Onboard and support new customers through implementation to ensure successful integration, fast time-to-value, and product stickiness
- Provide expert guidance to customers on integrating carbon metrics, communicating methodologies, and implementing best practices to help them succeed
- Monitor account health using scalable engagement strategies, proactively addressing risks and celebrating wins
- Educate stakeholders, including developers, sustainability professionals, and business leaders, on how to get the most out of our API and tools
- Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases, workflows, and goals to provide tailored recommendations and maximize value for the customer
- Act as the voice of the customer, collaborating with internal teams to enhance the product experience and prioritize improvements based on feedback
- Monitor and report on KPIs to measure adoption and customer outcomes
- Improve and maintain onboarding materials and customer-facing documentation to continuously enhance the experience
What we look for:
- 3+ years of experience in a customer relationship or partnership development role and a proven track record of managing B2B accounts
- Solid understanding of the GHG Protocol and carbon accounting practices is a bonus
- Tech-savvy with a natural ability to understand and navigate technical concepts, tools, and systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex topics clearly and effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills, which allow you to empathize, build trust, influence stakeholders, and guide customers confidently
- Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environments
- Exceptional level of attention to detail and structured work
Bonus:
- Product Management exposure or affinity to building software products
- Experience with API-based products or related fields such as developer tooling, cloud infrastructure, embedded finance, or other enterprise SaaS
- Understanding of data products, supply chain management, enterprise resource planning (ERP), or related fields
