'The focus of the engineer's task is issue analysis and resolution in the area of the 2.5G and 3G real-time system in customer products. The tasks include:

• Analysis and resolution of issues with software products with focus on the overall system, especially drivers in customer handsets and platforms.
• Responses and/or solutions to customer issues in a timely manner.
• Participation in customer visits, as required, for issue resolution and/or project reviews.
• Provision of technical support to customers, also on-site.
• Actively approaching customers to identify how core phone software can be used for new products or applications, identifying necessary extensions/enhancements, and working with the customer to ensure smooth integration.

This task requires integration skills and social competence to work in an international team, supported by such a team.'
