Position: Data & Analytics Engineer (GCP)


Location: Hamburg or Dortmund, Germany


Contract Type: B2B | 6 Months (Extendable)


Work Mode: Onsite, 5 Days/Week


Language: Fluent German Required


About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Data & Analytics Engineer to join our team in Hamburg or Dortmund. This is a fully onsite position requiring hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern data engineering tools. You will design, build, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and analytical systems.



Must-Have Skills:
• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with GCP data services
• Strong SQL skills, with experience in schema design and performance tuning
• Proficiency with:
  • BigQuery (partitioning, clustering, optimization)
  • dbt (data modeling & transformations)
  • Apache Spark (ideally via Dataproc)
  • Airflow (or GCP Composer)
• Scripting experience in Python, Scala, or Java
• Understanding of data warehouse, data lake, and ETL/ELT best practices
• Experience with Git or other version control systems


Additional Requirements:
• Must speak and write German fluently
• Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Hamburg or Dortmund
• EU work authorization or valid German work permit
