Data Engineer

What can you bring

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and transformation

• Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and working knowledge of non-relational systems (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)

• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms like Azure, GCP, or AWS

• Experience with data orchestration frameworks (e.g. Airflow, Dagster)

• Expertise in Infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform)

• Experience with data modeling, cloud data warehouses (BigQuery), and ETL/ELT pipeline design

• Familiarity with data testing, version control, and CI/CD workflows

• A collaborative mindset and experience working in agile cross-functional teams

• Fluent in English (C1 level)

• Location : Be based OR be willing to relocate to Hamburg

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes (k8s) and Argo CD
• Experience with real-time data processing or streaming systems
• Exposure to reporting/visualization tools like Power BI, Looker, or Metabase
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in data systems
• Domain experience with energy data, IoT, or EV charging behavior

Your Impact

• Build, monitor, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows that power everything from internal dashboards to product features
• Design and implement data models that support advanced analytics and operational systems
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and product managers to enable data accessibility and decision-making
• Improve and enforce data quality, consistency, and integrity across multiple sources
• Help scale our data platform to support real-time and batch processing as our business and data grow
• Contribute to our cloud-native infrastructure (Azure/GCP)
• Contribute to documentation, automation, and CI/CD practices for data engineering
