We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of our data landscape and the positive impact data has on Tourlane and our customers.

About the Role

• Collaborate closely with data analysts, analytics engineers, and other data consumers to maintain and improve our hosted data services.
• Enhance and extend our existing data ELT processes, focusing on our bronze and silver layers within our data architecture.
• Implement automation features for GDPR compliance of our data warehouse.
• Support analysts in remodeling domain‑specific data for migration into our new DWH structure (Medallion Architecture). 
• Consult internal data producers on non‑breaking data changes and modeling.
• Coach less experienced colleagues across our data stack and contribute to department‑wide data governance initiatives.

Requirements

• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and orchestration tools.
• Proficiency in building, scaling, monitoring, and maintaining data pipelines.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders of varying coding and data experience.
• Mid‑level knowledge in SQL and dbt, experience with relational databases, and solid programming skills in Python.
• Experience with modern data modeling concepts and data warehousing architecture.
• Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles.
