Data Engineer (m/f/d) – Energy Management Platform

About the RoleAs Data Engineer at DHYBRID, you will work at the intersection of renewable energy, data, and cloud technology. You will help us integrate industrial systems, ensure data quality, and turn raw information into meaningful insights – enabling reliable and sustainable energy systems worldwide.We are looking for candidates with professional experience in data engineering, ideally in industrial or energy-related environments. Your ResponsibilitiesSystem Integration & Data ConnectivityConfigure Telegraf pipelines for data transfer (e.g., via OPC UA).Connect field devices (industrial PCs) in project environments.Validate data points to ensure system reliability.Data Visualisation & AnalyticsBuild dashboards, alerts, and reports in Grafana (on-prem and AWS).Support project teams with clear data visualisation and analysis.Operations & User ManagementManage users and access rights.Implement alert handling and backfill strategies.Documentation & QAMaintain project and process documentation. What We’re Looking ForRequired Skills & ExperienceEducation in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Renewable Energy, or equivalent training.First experience with industrial protocols (OPC UA, Modbus TCP, MQTT).Confident in Grafana and database handling (InfluxDB, Telegraf).Practical knowledge of Linux/Windows and Python programming.Good command of German (B2+) and English (B2+).Nice-to-HavesHands-on experience with AWS Cloud.Knowledge in data modelling and advanced database design.Broader industrial IoT / energy systems background.Additional languages are a plus in our international projects.Personal StrengthsStructured, analytical, and independent way of working.Curiosity for new technologies and motivation to grow in a dynamic environment.
