Do you want to create added value in the area of Audit & Assurance – Internal Audit , engage with PCFs and LCAs in an international context, and actively advise on and verify decarbonization measures? Our international team reviews and advises on PCF/LCA calculations, supporting clients in managing measures to achieve their sustainability goals. Your impact:

As a Senior Consultant Internal Audit with a focus on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) / Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) and Carbon Accounting (m/f/d), you will review corporate and product carbon footprint calculations and advise our team on ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in the area of carbon accounting as well as on establishing controls and management mechanisms to achieve CO₂ reduction and sustainability targets.

• Advanced exam: You will establish processes and controls for calculating product carbon footprints and corporate carbon footprints and define appropriate measures for controlling and reducing CO₂ emissions.
• Functional testing: You review controls and measures to achieve defined sustainability goals and meet regulatory requirements.
• Analysis: You will also contribute your expertise in identifying control weaknesses and reconciling the findings.
• Documentation: You will also prepare audit documentation and reports and assist with the presentation of results.
• Advisory: Last but not least, you will take on a variety of project management tasks, support the further development of approaches, and assist us in the creation of presentations.

Your skillset:

• Degree in sustainability management, environmental management, business administration, economics, industrial engineering or comparable
• At least 3 years ofexperience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculation as well as auditing of sustainability and environmental management systems
• Knowledge and proven training (at least 40 hours in the last 5 years) on relevant ISO standards on sustainability (ISO 14040/DIM EN ISO 14044, 14067, 14064-3(2), 14025 (3))
• High level of commitment, personal responsibility, agile working methods and interest in handling complex tasks and projects as well as an affinity for numbers
• Willingness to travel and very good written and spoken German and English
